Kit Abrigo Folle

The “Chuchu Square 2022” collection was inspired by the typical blankets that our grandmothers used to knit for us, in Mapuzungun “Chuchu”, with those leftover wool from other projects, which were designed from crochet squares that together give shape to wonderful projects.

And just as our grandmothers looked after us with shelter, they also healed us with their secrets, which is why El Abrigo Folle is named in honour of Mapuche medicine.

This coat is made with our Wiñu Line, which in Mapudungun means strand of wool; this line was hand-spun by artisans from the Maule region, who have specialized in traditional textile techniques from this area of the country. In each ball of wiñu there is history and textile tradition. This line is ideal for clothing textile projects, soft to the touch and against the skin, a characteristic of the quality corriedale wool from which it is made.
